If you’ve been following the re-birth of the Widelux F8 camera, now embodied as the WideluxX camera, then you’re well aware of the arduous struggle with bringing this redesigned modern interpretation back to life. This successful reincarnation preserves the original’s aesthetic while updating the entire assembly/manufacturing process.
Granted, very few photographers would’ve imagined that the new WideluxX would eventually be available for purchase, but that day has finally arrived. Be aware, however, if you have your heart set on purchasing the WideluxX, then you’d better hurry.

A New Way to Create
This initial batch of the new WideluxX is limited to 350 cameras. As of this writing, that number has dwindled to 169. You can pre-order your own personalized camera, complete with engraved initials. This pre-order camera is priced at $4,400.
Each camera is hand-built for you. This type of craftsmanship extends the expected delivery time to approximately 6 to 8 months. As such, you are expected to pay for the camera in full at the time of pre-ordering.
If your camera does not ship within 12 months, there is a promise of a full refund of this pre-order price. Furthermore, there is a shipping charge of $172 that will be added to your pre-order.
In addition to your engraved initials, there are other personalization options that will be available to you approximately four weeks prior to your camera entering production. These options could include a choice of color and a rewind knob selection.
