Dedicated to our beloved readers, we kindly offer you the following selection from our rumors, guesses, and sure things department. We begin with a sketchy rumor.
A New Lomography 110 Camera
Not too long ago, an error on the Lomography website briefly illustrated a black, metal Lomomatic 110 camera. Before we could grab a copy of the image, it was gone, just like the hopes for a New England Patriots Super Bowl victory.
It is believed that this new camera will be named the Lomomatic 110 Nocturne. Lucky for us, in a recent Lomography email regarding 110 photography an included photo again revealed the existence of this “Dark Knight.” As of now, however, we have no “official” knowledge of either price or availability.
Finally, a Replacement Leica BP-SCL2 Battery
We have a pretty good hunch about the upcoming release of a new replacement battery for the Leica M240 camera. Known as the Leica BP-SCL2 Battery (1800 mAh), B&H Foto and Electronics, Corp has just published a “placeholder” Web page for the future sale of this much-needed revival with an expected price of $235.

Curiously, the B&H site states that this new battery “… is identical to the one originally shipped with the camera.” Duh? Additionally, this battery “… is a backup or replacement rechargeable battery for the Leica M (Type 240) digital camera.
Unfortunately, we have no word on a release date for the BP-SCL2. Therefore, interested readers should “Request Assistance” on the B&H Web page and receive an email notification on availability.
New Sigma BF Camera Firmware
Announced by Sigma Photo, is the immediate availability for download of Ver. 1.04 firmware for the quirky BF camera. Statements about the content of this update include the new support for an image 1x magnification playback option via a screen-based double-tap, along with the assorted sundry minor fixes and stability improvements.

Well, that’s it for now. We return you to your regularly scheduled reading entertainment.
Enjoy.
