Canon is getting ready to announce the Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 mirrorless cameras and a bunch of lenses in the next few hours, and you can watch the whole thing live, right here. It’s scheduled to begin at 14:00 CEST (1pm UK time, 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific) today, and should make a lot of people very happy. It should also help to clear up the confusion about those long-but-slow f/11 primes.

Canon is expected to announce a whole bunch of stuff besides the EOS R5 and EOS R6 and its various kit combinations. It’s a pretty massive list, but Canon has been calling this their “biggest product launch yet”, so it may be accurate! There may even be one or two surprises.

  • Canon EOS R5 body – $3,899
  • Canon EOS R5 with RF 24-105mm USM – $4,999
  • Canon EOS R6 body – $2,499
  • Canon EOS R6 with RF 24-105mm STM – $2,899
  • Canon EOS R6 with RF 24-105mm USM – $3,599
  • Canon WFT-R10A Wireless File Transmitter – $999
  • Canon BG-R10 battery grip – $349
  • Canon LP-E6NH battery – $79
  • Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM – Nuh uh!
  • Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM – $599
  • Canon RF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM – Not today!
  • Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM – $2,699
  • Canon RF 600mm f/11 IS STM – $699
  • Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM – $899
  • Canon RF 1.4x teleconverter – $499
  • Canon RF 2x teleconverter – $599
  • Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 13″ professional inkjet printer – $899

It looks like the 50mm f/1.8 STM and the 70-200mm f/4L IS USM aren’t ready for prime time just yet, but as well as the original list above, Canon did also announce a new high-end photo printer that prints up to A3 (or around 18×12).
