The phenomenon is most notable on Facebook where every day I see people asking “What’s the best settings to export for posting photos to Facebook?”. Well, Facebook might still destroy them, but Twitter won’t. They’re now going to be preserving the upload quality of images you post.
Photographer wins copyright lawsuit over embedded tweets, now sues more publications
Last year, photographer Justin Goldman filed a lawsuit against several publications that featured someone’s embedded tweet with his copyrighted photo. The court ruled that this was, indeed, copyright infringement, so Goldman won the case. Now, he is looking to extend his victory and he is going for a few more news sites and blogs.

As if it’s not unusual enough to award this medal to an animal, the image is very obviously photoshopped. It looks like Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and Space X, has been causing a bit of a fuss on Twitter lately. After posting an image to his feed of 27 million followers by photographer Richard Angle, without any kind of credit or permission, he’s been getting called out by those leaping to Angle’s defence. Then those people have been summarily blocked.
The now-deleted Tweet, which was posted to Musk’s Twitter feed had received over 1,200 comments, 6,600 retweets and 77,000 likes. It contained the caption “Ride the lightning!” along with the photo of a lightning strike behind a Space X launchpad.
Woman got slammed for tweeting a photo of her “fine as s**t” doctor without his consent
After she recently posted a photo of her doctor on Twitter, a woman received sharp criticism from the community. Twitter user @purplegodesss secretly took a photo of her dermatologist and posted it to the social network without his consent. To make things worse, she “sexualized” him, calling him “fine as s**t,” in a Tweet that quickly went viral.
Samsung busted tweeting stock photos to promote Galaxy A8 camera
With as much as Samsung gives Apple a hard time in its promotional material, Apple fans will probably get a chuckle over this one. Samsung has, apparently, been using stock images from Getty to show off the capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy A8 front camera.
Samsung Brazil has been found to have downloaded and used at least two stock images to show off the Galaxy A8’s capabilities. Uncovered by Twitter user “feliperas“, screenshots showing the Samsung tweets alongside the Getty listing for the image were posted.

This morning, along with roughly 330 million other people, I received an email from Twitter strongly suggesting that I change my password. They’re also advising that I change it on any other website I’ve ever used that password. The reason is that Twitter appears to be accidentally storing passwords in plain text.
