One of the big problems with posting photos to social media is that the quality often gets destroyed. The phenomenon is most notable on Facebook where every day I see people asking “What’s the best settings to export for posting photos to Facebook?”. Well, Facebook might still destroy them, but Twitter won’t. They’re now going to be preserving the upload quality of images you post.

Last year, photographer Justin Goldman filed a lawsuit against several publications that featured someone’s embedded tweet with his copyrighted photo. The USA President Donald Trump has recently tweeted a photo of himself awarding a Medal of Honor to a military dog. As if it’s not unusual enough to award this medal to an animal, the image is very obviously photoshopped. After someone found the original photo from 2017, Trump received a massive meme roast under his tweet, and some of these are utterly hilarious.

It looks like Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and Space X, has been causing a bit of a fuss on Twitter lately. After posting an image to his feed of 27 million followers by photographer Richard Angle, without any kind of credit or permission, he’s been getting called out by those leaping to Angle’s defence. Then those people have been summarily blocked.

The now-deleted Tweet, which was posted to Musk’s Twitter feed had received over 1,200 comments, 6,600 retweets and 77,000 likes. It contained the caption “Ride the lightning!” along with the photo of a lightning strike behind a Space X launchpad.

With as much as Samsung gives Apple a hard time in its promotional material, Apple fans will probably get a chuckle over this one. Samsung has, apparently, been using stock images from Getty to show off the capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy A8 front camera.

This morning, along with roughly 330 million other people, I received an email from Twitter strongly suggesting that I change my password. They’re also advising that I change it on any other website I’ve ever used that password. The reason is that Twitter appears to be accidentally storing passwords in plain text. And they seem to have no idea how long it’s been happening.
