What’s the camera you are looking forward to? Are you upgrading your gear this year? There were several exciting announcements of cameras we can expect in 2017. Zacuto ran a poll asking the users what is the most anticipated camera for them in 2017. They have published the list of top five most anticipated cameras, and one has won a very convincing victory.

5. Nikon D5600

The fifth place for the most anticipated camera belongs to Nikon D5600. This camera features a 24.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor. With sensitivity range from ISO 100 to 25600, it’s well adapted to various lighting conditions. It features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection, records full HD 1080p video and shoots up to 5 fps. It also allows timelapse shooting directly in camera. According to the survey, 4.07% people voted for this camera as most anticipated.

4. Canon 5D MK IV

This DSLR camera took the fourth place with 10.47% votes. Unlike the one in the fifth place, this one features a 30.4 MP full-frame CMOS sensor. It shoots DCI 4K Video at 30 fps. It offers higher ISO than the fifth place camera: native ISO 32000, and expanded to ISO 102400.

3. Canon C700

15.70% votes go to the Canon C700, the Cinema camera from Canon. It captures 4.5K RAW video at up to 120fps. It is the first Cinema EOS camera to support anamorphic shooting with a built in “de-squeeze” function for external monitoring. It has one similarity with the 5D Mark IV – they both feature the same dual pixel autofocus technology.

2. Sony FS7 II

Another cinematic camera is on the list, and with 22,67% votes, it takes the second place. Sony FS7 II features Super 35-Sized CMOS Sensor. It shoots DCI 4K up to 59.94p, UHD up to 59.94 fps and HD up to 180 fps. It has some significant upgrades compared to the first generation Sony FS7, such as a stronger locking E-mount lens mount and the electronic variable ND system.

1. Panasonic GH5

The first place and almost half of the votes (47.09%) belongs to a micro four thirds mirrorless camera. Panasonic GH5 really takes a convincing as the most highly anticipated camera of 2017. It features a new 20.3MP sensor with no low-pass filter, new processor, dual SD card slots, and in-body stabilization. It boasts the highest ISO capabilities of any Lumix camera, for outstanding low light shots. It also has a new 225 point AF system, up from the GH4’s 49 point AF, which can track moving subjects for both stills and video.

These are the results based on Zacuto’s poll. Apparently, almost half of the users are the most excited about the Panasonic GH5. Do you agree with these results? What’s the camera you are excited about in 2017? Tell us your thoughts in the comments and vote in the poll.
