I know how hard it is to find a good set of backplates for your composites. If you don’t travel the world, your options are kinda limited. Well, we got someone to travel the world for you. And she travels with an 80 mega pixels Mamia Cred medium format camera. Rebecca Bathory travels to exotic locations (and some exotic if you know where to look) location to capture stunning backplates.

So far, Rebecca traveled to Venice, Japan, Angkor Wat and London. But it is today that we are officially releasing both the Japan and the Angkor Wat packages.

Before going into the individual packages, we really wanted to pack those (already awesome) packages with value, so if you get of of the City packages (London aside), you will also get a set movie looks that you can apply to your photos for free. Those looks are actually powerful LUT files to match several very popular film looks (like horror, fantasy, 80’s stock and so on). Those are usually $10 a pack, but if you buy a City Series package we are throwing that in too.

Oh, we are also running a huge 30% discount on all City Series and Looks packages. It’s a rare number, I know, but we think that experimenting with those 80MP rare backplates can really take your work to the next level so we are making it easy to try.

OK, back to he packages, from newest to oldest:

City Series – Angkor Wat (one and two)

Nothing beats a good Indiana Jones type mystery, and Angkor Wat is one of the best archaeological wonder in the world. It’s 1,626,000 square meters big and no one really knows what lies under those vast temples. As far as I can tell, there is a whole other underworld Cambodia under it.

Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world and a national symbol of Cambodia. It represents both – the Khmer culture and today’s Cambodian people.

City Series – Japan

Hand to heart, what do you think about when you think about Japan?  Temples, gardens, nuclear power and possible Sushi. That’s not much …

We sent our photographer to travel across Japan and we were flabbergasted with the variety that she came back with. She brought back stories, colors and some wonderful backplates for composing. We also did a thorough investigation about Japan and the Japanese culture and found some pretty interesting facts (indecently, they have nothing to do with temples and sushi):

  • Japanese love high-tech toilets – with warm-air blower, seat heating, massage function, water jet, armrest, etc.
  • 90% of all smartphones in Japan are waterproof, as Japanese don’t want to do without their mobile phones in the shower.
  • Japan is the last bastion for smokers … smoking is allowed in almost all restaurants and bars

City Series – London

LONDON is the craziest place on earth! Insanely high rent, tourists swarming everywhere. And, of course, the Royal family…

But London is also an incredibly beautiful city. Really. This is why so many great movies are set in London. And this is why London’s streets also are considered one of the most beautiful backgrounds for photographers. EVER! Did you have a client sending you to London to shoot? If not, we can help!

City Series – Venice (one, two and three)

90 high res backplates shot at 80 megapixels; 18.2 GB download / 8-bit Tiff files

Being one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice, Italy would be a great location for a shoot, right? Trust us, Venice is a wonderful place to put a model in. Aside from being one of Europe’s most fashionable cities, it has great architecture and great sense of italian style. This makes Venice ideal for fashion and beauty shots

Just grab your passport*, Luggage,  Trolley, buy tickets, hop on a plane, get a hotel, scout for location…. wait, this seems like a lot of work… Guess what? We did all that for you.

Movie looks (AW1, AW2, Japan and Venice)

These sets of LUTs (Look Up Tables) will automatically give your photos a charmingly beautiful look. Yes, we said charmingly beautiful! We used movies from the last 30 years for inspiration, and we really went across all the genres; horror, fantasy, road trips, even the ones with psychedelic looks. All and all, we have over 30 different looks.

So what are you waiting for? Go travel the world! oh and create something beautiful!
