World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest
The Digital Storytelling Contest is open to short documentary film and interactive productions. Just like the images, they also highlight contemporary issues and stories from all over the world, told by the means of digital technologies.
This year, 287 videos were submitted to the contest across three categories: Interactive, Long and Short. The jury nominated three participants in each of the categories. There were also three nominees for the World Press Photo Online Video of the Year. You can see the full list of nominees via this link.
The winners of both the 2020 Photo Contest and the Digital Storytelling Contest will be announced at the Awards Show, which will take place on 16 April 2020 in Amsterdam. The winners of both contests will be awarded a cash prize of 10,000 euros.
There will also be the World Press Photo Exhibition 2020. It will have all the prize-winning photos assembled into a year-long exhibition that visits 120 cities and 50 countries all over the world. The exhibition will premiere at De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on 18 April 2020. You can see all upcoming exhibitions in this calendar, and make sure to check out the full gallery of nominated images and videos here.
