International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of its 2022 contest. It showcases the work of non-professional and professional photographers who submitted their photos to 13 different categories. They cover a wide range of topics and genres, so no matter what type of photography you prefer – this gallery has something especially for you

The 2022 edition of the contest received over 14,000 entries from all over the world across 13 categories:

  • Advertising
  • Analog/ Film
  • Architecture
  • Book
  • Deeper Perspective
  • Editorial/ Press
  • Event
  • Nature
  • Fine Art
  • People
  • Still in Motion
  • Special
  • Sports

IPA’s founder Hossein Farmani commented on the 2022 winners:

“Photography is a language that speaks directly from the soul of the photographer to the heart of the viewer, and the powerful, beautiful, creative, and poignant images that were submitted to IPA this year – over 14,000 of them from 120 countries – show us how truly universal this language is.

IPA has once again lived up to its mission of searching out and honouring great photography in all its forms and facets, and I am immensely proud to be part of this incredible legacy, sharing these images with the world and hopefully encouraging a new generation of photographers to take up the mission—and the camera—in the years to come.”

The contest acknowledges first, second, and third-category place winners in each category. Most of the categories also have several sub-categories. It’s a massive gallery of photos, so we’ve selected only the first-place category winners to keep this article relatively short. Enjoy them below, and don’t hesitate to explore the full winner gallery on IPA’s website. Note that some photos are slightly NSFW.
