Starting 31 January, GoPro’s Plus subscription service has been improved. From now on, if your GoPro camera gets smashed, the company will replace it for you, no questions asked. Also, they’ve added a few more benefits for the Plus subscribers which will be launched soon.

As the GoPro Plus webpage reads, the owners of GoPro Hero 5 and newer are entitled to have their device replaced. You’re entitled to the replacement at the unchanged price of the Plus subscription, and the company doesn’t care whether your camera was consumed by lava or took a bullet. You can exchange your camera two times within a yearly Plus subscription. If you smash it for the third time, well, you’re on your own.

Along with camera replacement, there are a few other benefits added to the Plus subscription. Soon, it will allow all the users to backup photos and videos to the Plus cloud directly from their mobile device. In the past, it was only possible to do it from a GoPro camera or a computer. The new Plus subscription now also offers the unlimited photo storage and 35 hours (250 GB) of video storage. These additional perks will be available to iPhone users starting from 20 February. Android users will have to wait a bit longer. As Engadget writes, the new benefits will be able to them in spring.

For now, the offer is only available to the GoPro owners in the US. But the good news is that the global rollout will follow soon, although it’s not specified exactly when. Despite all the added benefits, the price of the subscription remains unchanged and it’s still $4.99/month. If you’re interested, you can read more about the new GoPro Plus benefits here.
