Pergear is known for its affordable lenses for mirrorless cameras. The company has just launched the latest one: 12mm f/2. This fisheye lens is made for APS-C and MFT models and it’s apparently aimed at those with a low budget, considering that it costs only $166.
The Pergear 12mm f/2 comes in four different mounts: Sony E, Fuji XF, Nikon Z, and MFT. It’s made for APS-C models, but you can use it on your full-frame Sony and Nikon cameras if you switch to APS-C mode.
Considering the price, I believe that you can guess that the lens is manual focus. It shouldn’t be a problem though for those of you who got used to focusing manually. Keep in mind that you need to set your camera to shoot without a lens when you want to use it.
Here are the full specs:
- Type:12mm F2
- Lens construction: 12 elements in 9 groups
- Focal length: f=12mm
- 35mm format equivalent: 18mm (Sony)18mm(Fuji)19mm(M4/3) 18mm (Nikon)
- The angle of view: 97°
- Max. aperture: F2
- Min. aperture: F22
- Number of blades: 10(rounded diaphragm opening)
- Focus range: Approx. 20cm/0.66ft – ∞
- External dimensions: ø66mm x59.5mm
- Weight (excluding caps and hoods): Approx. 300g
The Pergear 12mm f/2 is available for orders for Sony E, Fuji XF, Nikon Z, and MFT, and each model costs $165.99. You can check out more details on Pergear’s website.
