Lioness steals a GoPro, films herself running and playing with it

Animals photobombing or snatching humans’ cameras are something I can’t get enough of. So, I was quite amused seeing a lioness as she stole a GoPro and went on running and playing with it. Of course, the animal unknowingly filmed herself doing all that, leaving us with an entertaining video of herself goofing around with the camera.

The “stolen” GoPro HERO10 Black belongs to Lisa Kytösaho. She was on an African safari when the curious lioness grabbed her little action camera and ran off with it. The footage brought a Lisa GoPro Award, which is how I found this video in the first place. It shows the lioness running with the GoPro and pushing it around with its paw, as all cats would do. I find it adorable that even big cats play like house cats.

But Lisa also posted the longer version of the video. Other than the running and playing bit, it also gives us an interesting insight into the inside of a lioness’ mouth. Yes, the big cat chewed on the camera for quite a while. Again, something house cats also do when playing with their toys. Thankfully, the camera survived, I believe that the lioness had its fair share of fun, and we were left with this fun video.
