Imagen is best known for its AI-powered photo editing tools. And now, they’re expanding into video. The company has launched Imagen for Video in public beta, introducing automated, frame-by-frame color correction aimed at videographers.
This is Imagen’s first step into video editing. Still, they have quite an experience in catering to photographers. “We’ve helped 100,000 photographers save hundreds of thousands of hours,” said Yotam Gil, co-founder and CEO of Imagen. Now we’re doing the same for videographers, starting with one of the hardest parts: achieving a consistent, professional look across different lighting conditions and several sequences.
Imagen for Video’s First Tool: Color Correction
Imagen for Video is just starting out, and it starts with Color Correction for irts first feature. The software applies a selected style profile to each frame, adjusting lighting, contrast, tone, and exposure. This aims to produce consistent results without needing manual adjustments in software like DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.
The company plans to add sequence-building tools next, which will organize clips based on user input. And just like Color Correction, it’s intended to speed up post-production, which can be time-consuming and technically demanding.
Imagen’s technology for photographers has been widely adopted since the company launched in 2020. It has processed over one billion images and is used to edit around 10% of all wedding photos in the U.S., according to Imagen. Now, the company is applying that same AI to video editing, where maintaining visual consistency is often more challenging. The new color correction feature integrates with Adobe Premiere and is available for free during the beta phase.
Imagen for Video, with its Color Correction, is now in public beta and it’s free. You can get it and read more info on Imagen’s website.
