The best case for the DJI Mavic Pro is actually made by GoPro

You just got to the top of the waiting list on a DJI Mavic Pro drone, congrats! It’s small and fun and you can take it everywhere. But what if you wanted a small hard bag to use when you throw the Mavic Pro in your day travel bag and keep it safe.

Turns out the best (semi) hard case for the Mavic is actually made by GoPro and its called the GoPro Casey.

Ben Journée of Side Project Films just showed me the best case for the Mavic Pro, the Casey. It perfectly fits one Mavic Pro and one remote. How awesome is that? And it only costs $50 or so.

So, it seems that even if the Karma drone fails again, GoPro can still have some connection to the drone world.

If you are unfamiliar with the GoPro Casey, here is a quick review. It is actually quite a nice back for GoPro, way above those generic GoPro cases.

Here is a quick review of it:

Next, comes the “hack” DJI Mavic pro is a perfect fit inside the Casey:

Now, remember how the guy said that “there is no place for the remote” because the sticks may get damages? Ben found a solution for that, put the controller upside down then the sticks slot perfectly into the gap between the prop arms. He also leaves the props on while the drone is packed, which means he can start flying pretty fast.

What do you think? Would you like to see GoPro making more accessories for the DJI Mavic Pro?
