Finally, Apple has decided to join Instagram. Starting from today, you can follow their selection of the best photos and videos shot on iPhone. And what’s more, you can participate yourself and if you’re good (and lucky) – you can get featured too.

Only a few hours after they launched their official account, Apple already gained over 72k followers. As I am writing this, the number continues to grow. They feature photos and videos by “iPhoneographers” all over the world, with the hashtag #ShotoniPhone.

As DPReview reports, Apple’s Instagram account won’t include any company marketing. Instead, they’re here to feature iPhone photos by users from across the globe. If you take photos with iPhone, you can also get featured on Apple’s official Instagram page. You should add the #ShotoniPhone hashtag to your photos. This doesn’t automatically mean they’ll choose your photo, but if you take good shots or videos – you definitely have a chance.
