Further confirming the slow, painful demise of Samsung cameras, both Adorama and Best Buy have almost every Samsung NX lens listed at ‘closeout’ prices, including some third party glass.

It all began as a rumor, tossed around in the latter parts of Summer 2015. Since then, the rumors became reality when Samsung announced it was killing off its camera business both the UK and Germany.

Later rumors said the reason for Samsung’s death was a Nikon buyout, but follow-up statements from multiple parties refuted that rumor, with Samsung stating ‘reports that Nikon is allegedly buying our NX technology are not true.’

No further announcements have been made, on the matter, but it’s hard to say it’s anything but down hill from here.

That said, if you’re a Samsung user who doesn’t mind picking up gear that very likely won’t be supported a couple years from now, now’s the time to pick up some cheap glass from Adorama and Best Buy. It’s likely we’ll see a similar trend at B&H in the very near future.
