2022 Comedy Pet Photography Awards is still open for entries; these are the funniest photos so far

The Comedy Pet Photography Awards is one of the world’s funniest and most adorable contests. There’s not much time left until it closes for submissions, but you can still enter if you’d like to show everyone how funny your pet is.

To encourage you to submit your pet’s photo, the contest team shares with you some of the funniest entries so far. While not all of them can be put on a museum wall, I can promise that they’ll all put a smile on your face.

Created by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, this photo competition celebrates the positive and vital role that pets have in our lives. But along with Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, it also aims to encourage awareness about animal welfare.  This year, thanks to the partnership with Animal Friends, the competition is donating £30,000 to 3 separate charities that care for and re-homing abandoned animals: Dean Farm Trust, London Inner City Kitties and Wild at Heart Foundation.

Tom Sullam, Co-founder said:

“We hope that by sharing a sneaky peek at these latest entries, we can raise a smile or two and maybe encourage more budding photographers (amateur or professional) to get involved and enter their funny pet photos and videos.  And this year, entry to the JUNIOR category is free and there is an extra cash prize for the best video, so what have you got to lose, check out the website and enter if you can.”

There’s just under a month to go until the competition closes. You have time until 1 July 2022 to submit your images. If you win, you get the cash prize of £2000, and get to choose a charity from an approved list to receive an extra £5000 cash donation.  There are prizes for all category winners, not just the overall winner. Finalists due to be announced in mid-July, and winners in September 2022. So, grab your camera and point it at your lovely, goofy pet you love so much. Submit your photos here, and take a look at funny entries this year’s contests has seen so far.
