I know that you just grabbed that $500 Leica pen and am feeling quite luxurious, but considering what’s out there, you are still pretty low on the being excessively extravagant ladder.
Brikk Designs house which is notorious for covering anything in gold (dog harness anyone?), released a gold covered Nikon DF called the LUX Nikon Kit. It is a Nikon DF Camera along with a Nikkor 14-24 F/2.8 lens finished in pure 24k gold. But the gold just did not make the Nikon luxurious enough so sections of the camera are adorned in stingray leather.
This camera will set you back $57,995, with which you can buy about twelve and a half plain Magnesium Alloy DF and lens kits. Just saying.
According to Brikk, the camera took a year to engineer and they are only planning on producing 77 units. If you are planning on getting this camera, you should act quickly before the batch runs out.
Of course when you are selling something for this much money accessories are included, according to the product page:
the LUX Nikon kit includes all original accessories and is packaged in a custom zero halliburton camera case, that is finished by Brikk in 24k yellow gold…
…the total kit includes a brand new nikon df camera with rechargeable battery, quick charger, usb cable, rubber eyecup, camera strap, eyepiece, body cap, hot shoe cover, software, nikkor 14-24 f/2.8 lens with front cap, rear cap, hood, and 1 year limited warranty through brikk
P.S. If you opt out on the Nikon LUX kit, you’ll have enough money to buy not one but two Hasselblad H5D-50c medium format cameras.
