Everything leaked early yesterday, but Tamron has now officially launched their new 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2, 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 and 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 lenses for Sony E Mount. All three of the new prime lenses have a maximum aperture of f/2.8 and offer 1:2 macro capability. All three lenses are the same size, weigh around the same (215g-ish) and feature the same sized 67mm filter thread.

All three lenses are available to pre-order now for $349 each. The 24mm and 35mm lenses will ship on the 20th of November, and the 20mm will come in January 2020. All three lenses will be on show at Photo Plus Expo in New York for folks to check out in person this week.

I would have bought them if they were at f2…. cause they ain’t that compact for some f2.8
typo–.. a 20,24 and 35.. not 24,24,35 ;)

They better be super cheap because they’re totally unimpressive otherwise.

What’s the point of these . Any manufacturer can make f 1.8 primes at a reasonable price. Why f2.8?
