Sony has announced today a new zoom lens for their APS-C cameras. Sony E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS is a lightweight, versatile lens, and an “ideal fit” for Sony cameras like a6500, a6300 and a6000. It features optical stabilization and a linear autofocus motor, which should provide you with sharper images with handheld shooting.
Sony’s new 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens provides 27-202.5mm equivalent focal length. Just like most lenses of this kind, you should find it useful for different kinds of shooting situations. In their press release, Sony writes that this lens produces “outstanding corner-to-corner sharpness throughout the entire zoom range.” This is due to one aspherical lens and two extra-low dispersion glass elements that minimize aberrations.
