Irix teases a new lens, official announcement coming soon

Earlier this year, Irix finally announced the long-awaited 45mm f/1.4 “Dragonfly” lens. But it looks like we’ll see more new gear from the Swiss lens manufacturer. Another lens is coming soon, and the company has just released a teaser.

Irix didn’t reveal too many details, except that they’ll soon have some exciting news. My guess is that it will be a wider lens, something like 35mm or 24 mm. Considering that Irix entered the world of cine lenses last year, it could be a cine lens they’re launching. But these are just guesses. We don’t know which lens is coming or when, and there’s no price yet. However, we’ll know more in the coming weeks.

Other than running the teaser video on their YouTube, Irix also shared it on Facebook and Instagram. They invite you to speculate, and the first person to guess what’s cooking will even get a surprise for the company. So, head over to their social media and leave your comment. Of course, also let us know what you think: which lens is Irix going to announce?
