Feelworld is no stranger to most filmmakers. Almost all of us use or at least own a Feelworld monitor or three, even if they’re not our daily drivers. But Feelworld is also Seetec, which makes more advanced monitors for more demanding users.

We stopped by the Feelworld Seetec booth during IBC 2024 to see what was new. Amongst the toys, we spotted the Seetec P215 PRO-CO ($849.99), a shiny new 21.5″ portable director’s monitor. This 21.5″ 1000 nits monitor features HDMI and SDI, and is built for the rigours of work on location.

When shooting on set, your gear is subjected to all kinds of abuse. And it’s not even intentional abuse. Some of it is the rigours of daily location life, but sometimes accidents happen. The Seetec P215 PRO-CO is built to be rugged and durable when used on location.

Its built right into its own protective case, with protected corners and even a built-in handle. This keeps the innards of the monitor protected both while working and, when fully enclosed and not in use, during transport. The daily bumps and knocks gear gets on set shouldn’t worry it a bit.

HDMI and SDI input and output

The Seetec P215 PRO-CO features both HDMI and SDI connectivity. On the back of the unit, we have four SDI sockets (2 in, 2 out), three HDMI sockets (2 in, 1 out), and even a DVI input connector for using it with older computers and other equipment.

HDMI offers up to 4K UHD (3840×2160) or 4K DCI (4096×2160) at up to 60 frames per second display. SDI gives up to 1080p 60. While it will accept 4K signals from your camera, it’s only a 1920×1080 HD monitor. So, you’re not quite seeing the full picture, but it’s enough to check composition, focus, exposure, an all of the usual things we need to keep an eye on while filming.
