Creating A Blurred Soft Look With A Smartphone For 0.1 Cent

With the web sizzling over a new soft focus lens coming soon to a Smartphone near you, out pal Maciej Pietuszynski thought of trying to recreate a similar analog, soft, blurry effect on a budget.
His solution take about 5 seconds of work and about 0.1 cent of materials – it is a two step process:
Step 1 – make a small roll of clear tape. (for best results use clear Tesa Tape ;)
Step 2 – tape that small roll of tape over the smartphone lens with another piece of tape.
You’re done.
You can read more of Maciej great ideas (including a tilt-shift lens made from a shower head) on his blog and instagram.

It looks like a phone with a piece of tape over it…
wow, that looks terrible

=> Take photos that look like you just taped a small roll of tape over your smartphone lens (with another piece of tape).
this looks a bit cheesy tbh but I guess that’s why it’s a cheap solution.
