We’ve all seen spectacular views of NYC a bunch of times. However, none of them could ever match the quality of this UHD video recently posted by Phil Holland on Youtube. Using three Red 8K cameras, he ended up creating beautiful panoramas in 12K resolution. Unfortunately, Youtube can only play videos up to 8K at the moment so we can’t see its full potential for now. Regardless, this ultra high-resolution video is still such an eye-candy.
Tokina announces Opera 50mm f/1.4 “Top Premium” full frame lens for Nikon and Canon
As WPPI2018 comes to an end, CP+2018 fires up, which means yet more new gear announcements. First off the block is Tokina with their new Opera 50mm f/1.4 FF (full frame) lens for Nikon and Canon DSLRs. The new Opera series of lenses is designed to be a “top premium” line of full frame lenses for high-end DSLRs.

In the first video of what looks set to become a valuable archive of reference material, Mike dismantles, repairs and rebuilds a Tokina 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens.
After seeing the video we were intrigued, so DIYP had a chat with Mike about his work, the website, YouTube and his hopes for their future.
