Korean optics manufacturer Samyang has announced two new video lenses: the XEEN 14mm T3.1 and XEEN 35mm T1.5.

Available in five different mounts – PL, EF, F, E, and MFT – the XEEN lenses are the two latest pieces of glass in Samyang’s growing collection of filmmaking glass designed with 4K video capture in mind.

The two new lenses come in both imperial and metric focus scales pending personal preference and offer XEEN’s X-Coating Technology, which they claim help ‘to create a cinematic look.’

Like the other lenses in the XEEN lineup, the 14mm and 35mm lenses feature a 114mm front filter diameter to keep it consistent across the entire lineup.

Unlike the 35mm lens, as well as the three previously-released lenses, the 14mm lens only features a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, likely due to size constraints. The housing of the lens is constructed of aluminum, ensuring it can take a beating and keep on working.

The lenses are set to go on sale in early March 2016 for £1599 (~US$2300).
