OM Digital rebrands all Olympus products to OM System

Back in 2020, Olympus sold its camera and imaging business after a series of rumors. In 2021, Olympus’s imaging business belonged to OM Digital Solutions, and word started to spread that the company would fully rebrand from Olympus.

And now, it’s happening, OM Digital Solutions has announced that Olympus is no more. Other than the upcoming gear, even the existing models will from now on be a part of the “OM System.”

OM Digital Solutions is a subsidiary of JIP, and it’s in control of the OM and Zuiko brands. In an announcement, OM Digital wrote that all the gear sold under the name Olympus will gradually begin to be rebranded.

The change will apply to all Olympus lenses, accessories, binoculars, and IC recorders, and everything will carry the label and the logo of OM System. “Regarding products, we will update the information sequentially on our product website,” the company writes. It’s important to note, though, that the change won’t affect product specifications or performance. It just won’t be under the name we’ve known for so long.
