Meike has just announced their new 6-11mm f/3.5 fisheye for full frame and APS-C Nikon and Canon DSLRs. It’s a manual focus lens offering a 180-degree field of view on both full frame and APS-C sensors. There isn’t much information on it besides that, though, and there are no sample images yet.
- Focal length: 6-11mm
- Max aperture: f/3.5
- Min aperture: f/22
- Minimum focus distance: 0.15m @ 6mm / 0.25m @ 11mm
- Optics: 11 elements / 8 groups
- Dimensions: 64 x 94mm
- Weight: 541g
On full frame and APS-C cameras, you get 180° field of view at 6mm. This is in both horizontal and vertical axes, so it doesn’t quite cover the whole sensor. At 11mm, you get a bit better sensor coverage, with 180° horizontal view, and a slightly cropped vertical.
There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
