Venus Optics keeps expanding its family of lenses. A week after launching the L-mount version of its four lenses, the company is adding Canon RF and Nikon Z option to two more. The 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO is now available for Nikon Z, whereas Canon R shooters will be able to get the 11mm f/4.5 FF RL lens.
Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO
The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 is a macro lens made for APS-C mirrorless cameras. So far, it has been available in Canon EF-M, Fuji X, and Sony E mounts, and now you’ll be able to use it with Nikon Z 50. The suggested retail price in the US is $399, just like the existing three versions of the lens. As for the Nikon Z-mount lens, for now, it’s only available through Venus Optics’ website.
This is a pretty affordable macro lens, yet it offers high-quality images. So, here are a few sample photos to see what you can expect:

Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL
The Laowa 11mm F4.5 FF RL is an interesting wide-angle lens. It’s incredibly compact (only 6.3cm/2.5 inches long), it’s rectilinear (hence the RL in the name), and it was made for full-frame mirrorless cameras. If offers the 126° angle of view with 19 cm minimum focus distance. It was made with the landscape, cityscape, and travel photographers in mind, and it allows you to add a 62mm or a 100mm-wide filter onto the lens.
This lens has been available in Leica M, Sony FE, Nikon Z, and L mount, with the Canon RF version joining the family just now. The Leica M version retails at $799, whereas all other mounts cost $699. And once again, here are some sample photos:
