sigma_24-35f2_001Sigma has hit it off big time with the ART series of lenses and if these leaked images are real it seems the company has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

For years now there has been talk about a rumored 24-70 f/2 lens coming from Sigma, and this might be the lens behind all the chatter.

While disappointing that the focal length doesn’t go all the way to 70mm, Sigma has done an amazing job lately with its lenses and I don’t expect this one to be an exception.

Very little is known about the lens other than it will be a 24-35mm f/2 DG HSM Art wide-angle zoom.

The leaked images also reveal that the lens’ filter diameter will be 82mm and that build wise it is similar to the rest of the ART series.

There’s no word on pricing just yet, but hopefully Sigma will continue its recent policy of outstanding lenses for reasonable prices.

For those who have been living on another planet, Sigma’s ART lenses include the first f/1.8 zoom lens (18-35mm), and the super successful OEM-killers 24mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4.
