Back in January, Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” photo contest got under fire for not paying license fees to winners. After some criticism, Apple changed the rules to state that winners would be paid – and these winners have just been announced. There are ten winning photos and of course: all of them were shot on different models of iPhone.
The ten selected winners will be rewarded most of all by ego-boost: they will be featured on billboards in select cities, in Apple retail stores and online. But as I mentioned, they will also be paid licensing fee, which is certainly fair and the right thing to do. Apple judges selected the winners to showcase the quality of iPhone cameras, and they were shot on a range of models, from iPhone XS Max to iPhone 7.
I believe that there were entries from all over the world, and the top ten winners came from different countries: Singapore, Germany, Belarus, Israel, and the US. The photos differ in style and topic, depicting portraits, landscapes, everyday scenes, animals and so on. Take a look at the photos below, and read more about the contest here.
