All About Photo (AAP) magazine has just announced the winners of its All About Photo Awards 2023. As the name suggests, the magazine is all about photography, and this year’s winners are impressive, as always.
The title of the Photographer of the Year was awarded to Priyo Widiyanto from Indonesia for his winning shot, which is literally a winning shot. It shows the Indonesian National Wheelchair Basketball Team in the middle of an intense match as a player was just about to throw the decisive shot.

Widiyanto winning image was named The Winning Shot, which turned out awesome considering that he really won the contest. The Indonesian National Wheelchair Basketball Team that he photographed also won the game, so this is a pretty cool story altogether.
“Many submitted images to this year’s competition reflected on the catastrophic events happening in the world, including the war in Ukraine,” the contest spokesperson tells us. “But in the end, only two images out of the 45 selected are about the conflict.”
“It seems that the jurors were drawn to lighter images. Overall, this year’s selection seems less emotional and focuses more heavily on strong aesthetics.”
Like every year, All About Photo Awards recognizes winners of the first five places. The other four winning images are also very dynamic in their composition, just like the first-place winner. They belong to Haikun Liang from China, Raul Cacho Oses from Spain, Andrea Bettancini from Italy, and Pedro Luis Ajuriaguerra from Spain.
Both professional and amateur photographers are welcome to share their photos and compete for All About Photo’s Photographer of the Year. The first five places win a total of $10,000 cash prizes and a publication in the printed magazine Special Edition All About Photo Awards 2023.
