Canon’s New RF75-300mm F4-5.6

Canon has just released the new RF75-300mm F4-5.6 lens. This new gear seems to make capturing from a distance a breeze, and you can enjoy concerts from a comfortable distance. The lens is designed to provide excellent zoom capabilities without adding too much weight to your camera bag.

Weighing just over a pound, it’s light enough to fit into your regular gear easily. Plus, it works with full-frame and APS-C mirrorless cameras in Canon’s EOS R series, giving you plenty of choices whether you’re using the new R100 or a more advanced model.

Zoom In, Get Closer: Your New Telephoto Friend

Easy focus on distant subjects – that’s what Canon promises with their new RF75-300mm F4-5.6 lens. It’s a powerful zoom lens lets you shoot from 75mm to 300mm. If you have an APS-C camera, Canon says this gives you a focal length equivalent to 480mm. It seems best for capturing thrilling sports moments, rare wildlife, or your favorite band performing live. This lens allows you to do much more than your smartphone can do, giving you exciting new creative options.

Small, Simple, and User-Friendly

Canon’s New RF75-300mm F4-5.6 doesn’t have a long list of high-end features. Canon has kept it simple. It has a variable aperture of f/4–5.6, an easy-to-use DC autofocus motor, and a minimum focusing distance of 4.9 feet. At the longest focal length, you’ll achieve a decent 0.25x magnification.

I like that it uses a standard 58mm filter thread. This means you won’t need to spend much on large filters for things like polarizers or ND filters. Moreover, the 7-blade diaphragm seems to provide a nice background blur. This might not be spectacular, but it is sufficient to separate your subject when you zoom in closely.

Light as a Feather, Ready for Adventure

I love its lightweight and compact design. It weighs just over one pound (about 507g), which makes it lighter on your shoulders and gives you more energy to capture great photos. It can be easily used with your full-frame or APS-C Canon EOS R mirrorless camera. It’s made for quick access. This makes it ideal for those unexpected photo moments.

The Perfect Starter Kit: R100 Double Zoom Kit

Canon has launched not only the RF75-300mm F4-5.6 lens but also the EOS R100 Double Zoom Kit. It is an excellent option for anyone new to mirrorless cameras. This kit includes the RF75-300mm F4-5.6 lens and the EOS R100, Canon’s smallest and most affordable EOS R camera. If you’re moving from a smartphone or an older DSLR, Canon says this kit offers a fantastic value for beginners. It gives you a range of lens options and features such as a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, the DIGIC 8 image processor, and useful connectivity features.
