Antigravity A1 Drone from Insta360

Antigravity, the new drone brand from Insta360, has announced its debut product: the Antigravity A1. The new drone boasts 8K 360-degree filming, fully immersive flight , and intuitive controls. This will be a game-changer for many creators.

Set to launch globally in January 2026, it features a dual-lens camera that captures every angle of your surroundings. Advanced stitching technology makes the drone itself disappear in footage, giving a clean, uninterrupted view.

Immersive 360 Capture and Flight

The key feature of the Antigravity A1 is its dual-lens camera system, capable of complete 360-degree recording. It features advanced stitching tech – similar to that found with FlowState in the Insta360 X5. This ensures footage is smooth, clear, and free from ugly seams.

The Vision goggles and the Grip controller provide a truly immersive experience. The drone uses Antigravity’s proprietary FreeMotion technology and head-tracking capabilities. This means pilots can look in any direction while flying, and control the drone with natural hand gestures.

This separation of control and visual exploration offers a new level of immersion, making aerial navigation more intuitive and engaging. When the drone lands, users can revisit their footage in 360 degrees to discover a fresh perspective every time they watch.

Limitless Creativity and Editing Flexibility

Antigravity A1 is designed with creators in mind. It offers 8K resolution thanks to its dual-lens setup. This allows for a lot of dynamic editing options. These include reframing, creating Tiny Planet effects, or applying horizon flips – all from a single 360-degree clip.

The ability to export multiple angles in any aspect ratio opens new creative possibilities for cinematic and FPV-style footage. It lets you shoot both your main story and your social videos at the same time. Or, you can cut different versions of your story for different platforms.

User-Friendly Design and Safety Features

Weighing just 249 grams, the drone is highly portable and compliant with most regional regulations. This makes it ideal for travel, but check the rules at your destination first. Its small size allows for quick setup and deployment, making aerial storytelling easy and painless.

The Antigravity A1 replaces traditional sticks with its Grip controller, responding to natural hand movements. Paired with the Vision goggles, users gain full 360-degree visibility and can explore their surroundings safely and intuitively. The drone also includes safety features such as return-to-home and payload detection. The latter helping to prevent misuse, and ensure responsible operation.

We didn’t want to just build another drone. We wanted to create an entirely new way to fly. A1 is the first step in reimagining flight as something anyone can enjoy — safe, intuitive, and endlessly creative.

That’s all the company has released for now. I expect we’ll find out more as we get closer to the end of the year, even if it’s just more teasers.

It will be interesting to see DJI’s response to this one. Antigravity is clearly targeting a sector of the drone market that DJI hasn’t tapped into yet. But with DJI having recently released the DJI Osmo 360, could they also be working on a 360-degree drone?

Price and Availability

The Antigravity A1 will launch globally in January 2026. Final pricing and package details will come closer to release.

In anticipation of the launch, applications are now open for the first-ever Antigravity co-creation project. Antigravity is inviting creators worldwide to test pre-production units and contribute ideas that coulda influence the final product. Selected participants will have opportunities for rewards and recognition, including a share of a $20,000 prize pool.
