DJI has just launched the DJI Osmo 360, its first 360-degree action camera. This camera lets you shoot stunning native 8K30 360° video, which is fantastic if you care about high-quality footage. This isn’t just an ordinary camera; it’s a complete system designed for creators like you. Whether you enjoy motorcycling or mountain biking, or want to capture a different view of your travels, this camera promises the features you need to achieve that.

Key Features of the DJI Osmo 360
One of the first things that stands out is the camera’s ability to record 8K30 360° video, which offers incredible detail. It features a new square HDR image sensor, which, according to DJI, has the same field of view as typical 1-inch sensors. This setup provides 13.5 stops of dynamic range, ensuring your videos are rich and detailed. Plus, you can capture continuous 8K video for an impressive 100 minutes, so you won’t miss any important moments while changing cameras.
If you don’t always need 360° footage, the Osmo 360 has options. You can easily switch between dual-lens and single-lens modes, allowing you to choose between 360° shots and a first-person action camera view. It also supports shooting at up to 5K60 with a wide-angle perspective. Additionally, the camera can capture stunning photos up to 120MP in 360°, giving you plenty of pixels for amazing panoramic images.

Boost Mode and Professional Color for More Creative Control
One of the coolest features for you is Boost Mode. This option lets you see a broad 170° view and records video at 4K120, perfect for capturing fast, slow-motion moments.
For those who enjoy editing their videos, the Osmo 360 offers 10-bit color depth and D-Log M mode in all supported formats. These advanced color settings give you more options and detail when editing your footage. It’s a great feature that helps your videos look unique and eye-catching. DJI seems to aim to please both casual users and serious filmmakers.
Shaky Footage is a Thing of the Past
If you’ve struggled with shaky videos from an action camera, you’ll be happy that the Osmo 360 includes DJI’s well-known stabilization technology. With RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonSteady, it minimizes shake and fixes any tilts. I believe these features significantly improve the ability of anyone who films while moving. Your videos will still appear smooth and professional even if you’re speeding down a trail. The camera has a built-in system to reduce wind noise, which is perfect for outdoor filming.
DJI has also improved its accessories. The new Osmo Magnetic Quick-Release Ecosystem offers many ways to creatively mount the camera, including a Third-Person Helmet Mount Kit. They’ve introduced several new selfie sticks too, one of which DJI claims will vanish in your 360° video, giving the impression that a drone is following you.
