Adobe just released a big update for mobile creators. The Firefly app is now available on Android and iOS. It brings the same AI-powered creative tools you’d find on a desktop to your phone. This includes features like generating images from text, creating videos from text, and using generative fill, all connected to your Creative Cloud account. You can easily begin a project on your phone and complete it on your computer.
Adobe isn’t doing this alone. They’ve partnered with Google to include the newest Imagen 4 and Veo 3 models. Plus, they’re collaborating with new AI partners like Pika, Runway, and Ideogram. And if you’re concerned about your creative work being used for AI training, Adobe assures you that won’t happen.
Adobe Firefly Mobile App Features That Match Desktop Power
It offers all the features you would find in the desktop version. You can use Text to Image to create pictures from your ideas, Text to Video to make videos from scratch, and Image to Video to animate still images. The app also has Generative Fill and Generative Expand, which are great for extending backgrounds or filling in gaps in photos.
Moreover, it connects with your Creative Cloud account. You can start working on a project while you’re on the go and easily continue it on your desktop when you get home. No more sending files to yourself or struggling with complicated transfers.

Expanded AI Partnerships Bring More Creative Options
Adobe has strengthened its partnerships. Google is introducing its new Imagen 4 and Veo 3 models, which Adobe describes as capable of creating “hyper-realistic” videos. But that’s not all — ideogram, Luma, Pika, and runway also join forces with Google and OpenAI.
You can pick which AI model to use for your projects. If you want to experiment with Pika for video creation, go ahead. If you prefer using Google’s Imagen 4 for images, it’s available, too.
And for anyone worried about privacy, Adobe wants you to know that they will “never” use your content or uploads to train their models. Your creative work remains yours.
Firefly Boards Get Conversational AI Upgrade
Adobe is releasing a mobile app and revamping Firefly Boards. Alexandru Costin, Adobe’s VP of generative AI, refers to it as “an AI-powered creative jam session,” where teams can brainstorm and turn ideas into ready-to-use projects.
One of the most exciting features is the Generative Video integration. With help from partners like Google, Luma AI, and Pika, you can create videos by typing in text prompts and easily add them to your boards. What impressed me was the conversational AI editing. Simply type in what you want to change in an image, and the AI will make those changes for you. No complicated tools or difficult learning curve needed.
They’ve also included helpful updates, like one-click arrange for quick board organization and Linked Docs to connect your Adobe files directly to your boards.
What Adobe Firefly Mobile App Means for You?
This is huge for you if you want to experiment with AI on the go. Whether you need to change backgrounds, develop ideas for a photoshoot, or turn your photos into videos, you can do it all from your phone. The Creative Cloud sync feature lets you capture your ideas anytime — jot down thoughts during lunch and polish them later on your computer.
The Adobe Firefly mobile app is already available on the Play Store, and iOS users will soon have it. With various AI options to choose from and no need for training on your content, there’s really no reason not to give it a try.
