Photographer Crafts the Best Birth Announcement Video with Drone in Backyard

We’re always seeing new and creative ways that parents are using to inform friends and loved ones of a new addition to the family.  But, I don’t think anyone does it quite like Dirk Dallas.  Dirk, a photographer and drone enthusiast with a flair for the dramatic (in only the best sense of the term), created a very memorable birth announcement for their third daughter using a drone in the backyard.

With a drone hovering above them (and, fortunately, nobody shooting it down) every member of the household played an important role in revealing the great news.

But, this isn’t the first time Dirk has put together an inspiring birth announcement.  In 2013, he created a cinematic production with their oldest child leading you through a garden where the big secret is revealed.

Dirk’s love for drones was born from a natural progression of his fascination with remote controlled aircraft and videography.  With over 265,000 Instagram followers, he shares glimpses of the world and exotic destinations from the vantage point of the air.  After seeing the popularity of his original hashtag #fromwhereidrone, he has since started another Instragram feed and a website dedicated to stunning drone photography.
