Nanlite has announced the newest light in its lineup. It’s the Nanlite Forza 60CR. The new 60-watt model has RGBLAC (Red, Green, Blue, Lime, Amber, and Cyan) capabilities for a very accurate colour spectrum output with a CRI of 96.
The light updates the Nanlite Forza 60C ($559.20), released in 2022. It keeps the same, extremely wide 1,800-20,000K white balance adjustment with +/- 100 green/magenta shift. But it adds something new, too. Wireless control with LumenRadio CRMX.

Nanlite Forza 60C + CRMX = 60CR
The new Nanlite Forza 60CR is essentially the same light we’re used to in the Nanlite Forza 60C. And if you never need to use its wireless CRMX capabilities, the two are basically identical. But the usefulness of CRMX cannot really be overstated.
If you’re running a studio or even a YouTuber with a permanent setup at home, CRMX makes your life a whole lot easier. You can always have your lights set up, plugged in, and ready to go from a control pad on your desktop. No need to manually turn each light on and tweak the power levels.
If you’ve never used wireless CRMX to control LED lights before, here’s a quick video from the Dapper Gaffer showing how CRMX works with the Nanlite PavoTube II 30XR ($579). This, too, was essentially just a refresh of the previous PavoTube II X series lights to add CRMX capabilities.
You don’t have to replace your Forza 60C to get CRMX
Now, I mentioned above that the Forza 60C and 60CR are basically identical lights, except that one has CRMX and the other does not. And to really drive this point home, Nanlite actually offers an upgrade service so you don’t have to sell all your 60C lights to upgrade to 60CR.
If you send them your old Forza 60C – and some cash, of course – they’ll add the CRMX module into your 60C, turning it into one of the shiny new Forza 60CR units. It will be interesting to see if Nanlite switches the housing/name on upgraded units to distinguish them, or the used market could get quite messy.

The original Nanlite Forza 60C has proven to be a solid RGBLAC workhorse. So, I’ve no doubt the upgraded Forza 60CR will be equally as solid. It all really boils down to how much you need that LumenRadio CRMX remote control capability.
Price and Availability
The Nanlite Forza 600CR is available to pre-order now for $699. Units are expected to begin shipping in the coming weeks.
