Curves are one of the most powerful and versatile tools in Photoshop. They can even replace several other tools since you can use them for split toning, or adjusting contrast, exposure, and white balance. But how well do you understand this tool? Can you read the curve chart and figure out how it affects an image? Retouching Toolkit has a fun quiz for you which will tell you how well you understand Curves. Let’s see how you score!

You can take the test below, or head over to Retouching Toolkit’s website.

Now, it’s fun to take this test and figure out just how much you know (or don’t know) about Curves. But there’s more to just doing it for fun. Knowing how to read a curve chart can help you use the tool in your images. Furthermore, when you master Curves, you’ll know “what’s going on” in a photo you like. It will make it easier to reproduce the look of that photo in your work and achieve the same toning and contrast.

I’m happy to say that I scored 6/10. It means that I’ve improved my knowledge since I did a similar test about a year ago and scored 2/10. By the way, if you wanna try that one out, here’s the link. But of course, as far as I’m concerned, there’s still plenty of room for improvement! What was your score? Are you happy with it?
