Wedding Photographer Fail: Falls Into Water Water Fountain While Taking Photos

I feel bad for this wedding photographer, I really do. He was really getting into his job, probably capturing some great shots of the bride and groom and then, all of the sudden, a decorative water fountain jumps behind him out of nowhere and SPLASH, in for an unexpected swim he goes–cameras and all. Hopefully, the photographer was insured and had a spare camera somewhere to finish shooting the event.

Unfortunately, none of the other people standing there cared enough to stop his fall, but at least the person who did eventually come to his rescue was more concerned about getting the cameras out of the water than helping the photographer himself climb out. Barring a gaping head wound, I would have wanted them to do the same.

I guess the moral of the story is to be aware of your surroundings when shooting, or have a spotter follow you around to keep you from doing something silly (like tumbling into a water fountain with two DSLR’s around your neck).
