Noctornal is a beautiful time lapse by Colin Legg. With scenes captured over two years it features marvelous locations from the Southern Night, Western Australia and Chile.

Aside from being overall breathtakingly beautiful, Noctornal has a few interesting moments that Collin is highlighting in particular.

At 1:19 is a panoramic timelapse using 5 cameras configured to capture a 360 x
195 degree view of the sky
. The technique is still experimental, with some work still to do to eliminate processing artifacts. Aside from those issues, the output is a beautifully sharp 8k print.

Nothing like some good self-reflection-lapse so at about 0:34 there is a short BTS clip of the rig used to capture the multi-day/night timelapse sequances.
