You can’t go more than one or two clicks online without seeing something related to Star Wars. And today, we’re contributing even more to that trend with an introduction to two of the most stylized camera bags we’ve ever seen.
ThinkGeek has teamed up with Star Wars to create and sell officially licensed camera bags that take inspiration from none other than Chewbacca and Darth Vader.
At the core, the two camera bags are practically identical—they’re messenger style bags with padded dividers that can be adjusted to fit the gear you’re carrying.
Both bags are made up of a polyurethane exterior, a polyester lining and a seatbelt webbing shoulder strap adorned with matching shoulder pad. A front zippered compartment can store a phone, pens/pencils, memory cards, a notepad and other small accessories.
The key difference comes in the aesthetics of the bags. Naturally, the Chewbacca bags comes in a brown polyurethane and has a screen printed bandolier to resemble the one Chewbacca carries around. As a nice touch, the zipper is stamped with the Rebel Alliance logo.
On the darker side of things, the Darth Vader bag comes in black and red polyurethane, with a touch of red for the outside pockets. Like its less evil counterpart, the Darth Vader bag features a zipper stamped with the Imperial logo.
Both the Chewbacca and Darth Vader messenger bags are up for sale now for $50 a piece.
They aren’t the largest camera bags and likely aren’t designed to stand the test of time (or the elements), but if you’re looking to stock up even more on Star Wars memorabilia, what better way to do it than combine it with your love for photography.
Bonus points if you use the bag to carry your camera while making an authentic homemade lightsaber.
