Last year we shared some photos that compared the camera quality of every iPhone ever made. The comparison shots were taken by Camera+ co-founder, Lisa Bettany, and being the mobile photography enthusiast she is, Bettany has updated her collection of iPhone comparison shots to include the newly announced iPhone 6s.
As you’ve probably heard, the iPhone 6s marks the first time since the iPhone 4s, that Apple upped the megapixel count on their insanely popular smartphone.
“With 50% more megapixels than the last four iPhone 8-megapixel models, the iPhone 6s boasts a number of key improvements including: improved auto-focus, local tone-mapping, noise reduction, and colour separation…
The improved sensor, software updates and new A9 processor on the iPhone 6s has made this camera the best yet. There is an apparent increase in the speed of auto focus and improvements to colour accuracy, details and sharpness, especially in low light.”
Overall, Bettany seems pleased with the iPhone 6s, noting it takes brighter photos that are less noisy, sharper, and more properly balanced than the photos taken with earlier models.
Bettany was nice enough to share some example photos with us here, but I highly suggest you head over to her original post where you can take a much closer, interactive gander at her comparison shots, and read a more in-depth take on her iPhone research.
