Selfie sticks have been around for a while, and (unfortunately) it seems they are here to stay. They serve as a tool to help you take a photo of yourself with (or without) your friends and get everyone in the frame. But, is it that easy to take a high-quality, artistic selfie with a selfie-stick? This “professional selfie-stick photographer” hit the streets of New York City and offered people to help them take professional photos with a selfie-stick.

The New Yorker published a video of a professional selfie-stick photographer a major troll, who approached people in the streets of New York City. He offered them to take free professional photos of them with a selfie-stick and teach them how to do it. The reactions were different: people were mainly confused, but also amused. Some said selfie-stick wasn’t that hard to use, and he said “I bet that’s what the salesperson told you” and went on “teaching” them how to do it properly.

The reactions of people are fun to watch, and the whole video is, of course, humorous. It serves to show the pointlessness of selfie-sticks and selfies in general. I know most selfie-lovers would disagree, but the fact is that many famous museums, tourist attractions and historical sites have banned the use of selfie-sticks. And even Monty Python stars hate selfies!

What about you? Do you take selfies and use a selfie-stick? Or you wish to do something like this when you see someone using it?
