This year’s CES has brought us some interesting news. Polaroid is one of the brands that launched a new product at CES 2017. After Snap and Snap Touch, they bring another instant camera that combines analog and digital technique. Only this one produces 3 x 4“ prints, unlike the previous two models which produce smaller, 2 x 3“ prints.

According to their official press release, Polaroid Pop brings the best of both worlds. In other words, it combines modern digital techniques with their recognizable instant-printing method to bring you great images which you can hold in your hands in an instant.

Polaroid Pop comes with a digital 20 MP CMOS sensor and an integrated ZINK Zero Ink printer. Just like Snap Touch, this model also has an LCD touch screen. It comes with a dual LED flash and provides image stabilization. Aside from taking photos, it also enables you to shoot 1080p HD videos. Photos and footage are stored onto a Micro SD card, just like with a digital camera. But, thanks to the integrated printer, you get the tangible images in under a minute, just like with the old school Polaroid cameras. Polaroid Pop prints to 3.5 x 4.25“.The photo itself takes the 3 x 4“, and the rest is the recognizable Polaroid-style border.

There’s another modern option this model has. You can use it alongside with the Polaroid print app and edit the photos before you print them. This way, you can take the best out of your digital photos, and then have them printed for a lasting memory.

If you like what you’ve just read and want to get your own Pop, you’ll have to be patient. The company has announced that it will be available for orders at the end on 2017. The pricing info is unavailable at the moment, but hopefully they will release this information soon, so we can start filling the piggy bank.
