Photos have leaked for a Ricoh WG-7. It’s a waterproof compact camera that will replace the Ricoh WG-6 which was announced in 2019. The leaked photos come via Nokishita, who say that an announcement for the camera is expected on June 17th, with shipping beginning on July 9th.
According to their post on Twitter, the new Ricoh WG-7 will shoot 4K video and features a webcam function for streaming HD video. They say it can also handle being submerged underwater for 2 hours at a depth of up to 20 metres (~65 feet).

Besides that, there aren’t really any other specs available for the new camera yet, although from the outside, it appears to be pretty much identical to the WG-6, aside from the colour options. So it remains to be seen how the internals might have changed other than the new webcam feature. The WG-7 will be available in black or red. The translated tweet reads…
The main features of Ricoh “WG-7” are “capable of shooting continuously for 2 hours at a depth of 20m”, “4K video shooting function”, and “web camera function capable of high-quality, high-definition video distribution”. Reservation starts on June 17th, and the planned release date is July 9th.
There’s no word yet on price, but the current model Ricoh WG-6 retails for around $399, although it’s currently on sale for closer to $299.
