26 years old Malaysian photographer and daredevil Keow Wee Loong (previously) is known for his affection of taking photos from tall buildings, preferably such that can’t be access by the public.

His latest endeavor involves two of the tallest buildings in Dubai, 101 flights of stairs and couraging 60 degrees centigrade during the climb. The photos are better than any drone can take. We asked  Wee Loong a few questions.

DIYP: please share where were these pictures taken?

KWL: The photo is taken in Dubai, in the top of the Marina 101 tower, the tallest residential building in the world and the 2nd tallest building in Dubai still under construction, standing at 423 meters.

DIYP: When were they taken?

KWL: These photos were taken on the first day of 2015 EID festive season – July 17th.

DIYP: What do you shot when you are on the tallest building in Dubai?

KWL: The first person to take the unseen view on the peak of the 2nd tallest building in Dubai

DIYP: Why did you pick this location?

KWL: I was planning to scale the cayan tower on July from the outside, but the weather is just too hot in Dubai for me to climb the structure during summer. At 44c, the steel on the outer structure is just too hot to touch (and definitely to climb on). So I exercised a plan B, which is to climb the marina 101 tower, the 2nd tallest building in Dubai (and the tallest residential building in the word)

DIYP: How did you feel when you took these photos?

KWL: The feel is just amazing ,being the first one to photograph this image at the roof of the construction tower.

DIYP: How high up are you when taking these photos?

KWL: the building is 423 meters, we were on top of the edge of the roof.

DIYP: How long did it take to scale the building?

KWL: It took me 50min to get from the ground to the tip of the roof of the 101 stories building. The temperature on the outside is 44c, which means that inside the steel and cement structure, the heat increased up to 60c. On top of that, all the doors and window are shut, it’s dark and the air is scarce. We were having difficulties breathing in this hot extreme condition while running up the stairs and evading security.

I’ve snack into many buildings like the shanghai tower (128 floors), and the recent climb at shenzhen on jan 2015 ,the Ping An financial center 660m at (115 floors),but nothing compares to this.

DIYP: thank you!
