How does one begin to give a first glance on the supposed Photoshop Killer that is Affinity Photo? I’m a windows guy, and wanted to test it ever since it was announced. Finally, there is a windows beta out there that I could download for free and take it for a spin. I’ve decided to keep this as focused as possible in order to be both useful and friendly to your time.
Today I’m here with Kyle Cong running through his approach on shooting out on location with strobes and how he finds them!
Halloween is TOMORROW BABY!!!! My favourite time of year because it’s the only time I can delve into just how messed up I am and get away with it *evil laughter* today I’m going to be showing you how to “wrap” your text and textures around your image based on it’s depth (highlights and shadows).
Until today I’d known my Sony A7II could handle the shadow world, but I could never bring myself to push it. Mainly out of fear, no actually entirely from fear of losing the image. Recently I had the absolute pleasure of working at Rebecca Bathory’s place I decided to test the range once and for all.
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Peter Hurley for the better part of an hour in order to try and scratch a little deeper into his life, find out what drove him, what keep his motors running, his passion and drive seemingly endless.
Hey guys! Today I’m going to be showing you a cool tip for how to manipulate a natural light image within photoshop to be able to drag some of that control back between the subject and background separation that get’s stripped away when shooting with a strobe. Obviously you can find a better lit location but sometimes you find something great that doesn’t have the separation you wished for.
I’m not sure if you guys are up to date on who Clay Cook is, but you should be. Because as I speak he’s on his way to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro in aid of Charity, it’s a truly kick ass event! More details here.
So I’ve had this plan for a while now spanning from Lara Jade to Peter Hurley and more where I want to bring you these killer intimate articles where not only do we get to see a serious glimpse into what it’s taken these guys and gals to succeed but also how it’s impacted them into the journey they have today.
As life is quickly becoming busier and busier for me I’ve had to find solutions to be able to work on the go and with that, naturally comes sacrifice.
I opted for a Surface Pro 4 and an iPhone 6sPlus for my “Travel kit” and with the Wi-Fi abilities of the Sony A7ii it makes for a versatile set of tools that can cover a range of operating systems / platforms and quickly allow me to output some high quality material.
