Adobe ACR 8_8

Adobe has released ACR 8.8 as a final release for both Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC users.

For Lightroom users and those using older versions of Photoshop, the company has released DNG Converter 8.8.

Other than a few minor bug fixes, ACR 8.8 added support for ten new cameras including the Canon EOS Rebel T6I (750D) and Rebel T6s (760D), Nikon D5500 and Olympus OM-D E-M5 II.

It also adds profile support for a list of lenses in Canon, Nikon F, Sony Alpha, Sony E, Pentax, Sigma, Leica, MFT, DJI and Yuneec mounts.

I assume Photoshop CS6 users will only receive the new camera and lens support, not the bug fixes, as was the case when ACR 8 was released.

The list of newly supported lenses includes the Nikkor 300mm f/4E PF ED VR, Sigma’s 50mm f/1.4 in Sony Alpha mount and the new Sony E mount lenses we recently reported.

Surprisingly, Canon’s 11-24mm record breaking wide angle lens is not on the list.

ACR 8.8 can be downloaded via the Creative Cloud app, while DNG Converter 8.8 can be downloaded in the Windows or Mac links.

Visit Adobe’s official announcement for a full list of the supported lenses and bug fixes.
