Accsoon CoMo SE brings affordable on-set intercom to the masses

Accsoon has announced its newest intercom headset system. It’s the Accsoon CoMo SE and it’s essentially a more affordable version of the Accsoon CoMo, announced earlier this year, for the filmmaker on a budget.
Headsets like these can be invaluable, even with a small crew. Coordinating between a camera car and the vehicle it’s filming, for example. When you’re spread around a location and separated from other crew, they’re a great way to keep in touch.
Less expensive but not necessarily less capable
The Accsoon CoMo SE offers up to 400 metres of range. That’s around 1,300ft. This is exactly the same range as advertised on the more expensive regular Accsoon CoMo. You get full duplex communication between all headsets, with one acting as a host and the others as receivers.
It offers over 30 hours of battery life on a full charge, which means it’s more than ready for a good day’s work. You might even get a couple of days if you need to travel to a location without power in order to shoot. And if you are able to recharge, it only takes two hours to top it back up to full.

It’s been interesting to see intercom systems starting to come from more companies over the last few years. Hollyland’s Solidcom SE Global, announced just a few weeks ago was looking like a firm favourite. But Accsoon’s shaved a significant amount of the price of that 5-headset kit.
I’d be curious to test the two kits side-by-side for myself and see how they both handle in the real world. I’m actually in the market, as it happens.
Price and Availability
The Accsoon CoMo SE is available to pre-order now for $99 per headset (either host or receiver). A kit, including one host headset and four receiver headsets, is available for pre-order for $489.
