This image, which puts unrequited love into a context that photographers can understand, seems to have been doing the rounds on Facebook today, although I’m not sure who put it together.

The lens choices for the image are quite interesting. It’s easy to see how somebody could get worked up over the 200mm f/2, especially when one looks at the work of folks who use it, like Keydrin Franklin. You’d better stop eyeing up that 50mm f/1.4, though, no matter how cute it may be.

I suppose if we were to extend the chart, that might make this mammoth Nikon 1200-1700mm f/5.6-8 the Daddy.

1200-1700mm

Ok, so it’s not news, and it’s a little bit silly and stupid, but who doesn’t sometimes need a little mid-week chuckle?

I wonder what lenses a Canon or Sony version of this might use. What do you think?  Let us know your suggestions in the comments.

I only go the Canon type. Nikon just doesn’t do it for me.

You’ve clearly never dated a girl who is a photographer. It’s nice because you have something in common, but don’t date someone who uses the same brand because it’s an awkward situation when she wants to start borrowing your lenses.

Never underestimate the 18-55 kit lens, it´s one of the sharpest kit lenses ever produced by Nikon.

I would rather put a camera body on every image except on “your crush”
