This is a new global directory where you can list your work and picture editors, agencies, media organizations, and brands can find you and hire you. Powered by World Sports Photography Awards, you get to create your profile for free, with a premium tier available for those who want more room to show off.

The goal of Sports Photo Pro is twofold. One, it aims to raise the profile of sports photographers globally, and second, make it easier for clients to find the right person for a job.

What You Get

If you register, your listing will include:

• A professional profile with a portfolio showcase
• Searchable filters by sport, location, and specialism
• Direct contact details for commissioning enquiries

Clients can search by sport, location, or name, then contact photographers directly. There’s no middleman or bidding war – I personally quite like both of these features.

Who Can Join

The directory is open to working sports photographers at all career stages, so you don’t need a wall of Olympic credentials to sign up. There’s a free membership and a premium option, which the organizers say opens up more opportunities and lets you customize your profile in more detail.

Sports Photo Pro is already up and running. At the time of writing, it lists 214 photographers from 56 countries across 59 specialisms. Football leads the pack with 88 photographers, followed by basketball with 57. On the other end of the scale, diving, fencing, and padel are still waiting for their first entry, and darts has exactly one photographer. If that’s your niche, the field is wide open.

Beyond the obvious sports, you’ll also find categories like Hyrox, drone, venues, portraits, landscapes, and orienteering, so it’s not limited to stadium sidelines.
